RECORDANDO CANCIONES (I)

de BOB DYLAN

Álbum: Another Side of Bob Dylan (1964)

All I really want to do

I ain't lookin' to compete with you
Beat or cheat or mistreat you
Simplify you, classify you
Deny, defy or crucify you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

No, and I ain't lookin' to fight with you
Frighten you or tighten you
Drag you down or drain you down
Chain you down or bring you down
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I ain't lookin' to block you up
Shock or knock or lock you up
Analyze you, categorize you
Finalize you or advertise you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I don't want to straight-face you
Race or chase you, track or trace you
Or disgrace you or displace you
Or define you or confine you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I don't want to meet your kin
Make you spin or do you in
Or select you or dissect you
Or inspect you or reject you
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

I don't want to fake you out
Take or shake or forsake you out
I ain't lookin' for you to feel like me
See like me or be like me
All I really want to do
Is, baby, be friends with you.

de CAROLE KING & JAMES TAYLOR

YOU´VE GOT A FRIEND
Compositora: Carole King / Álbum: Tapestry (1971)
-James Taylor colaboró en la grabación del disco cantando la segunda voz en el estribillo de la canción-

When you're down and troubled/And you need some loving care/And nothing, nothing is going right/Close your eyes and think of me/And soon I will be there/To brighten up even your darkest night/ You just call out my name/And you know wherever I am/I'll come running to see you again/Winter, spring, summer or fall/All you have to do is call/And I'll be there/You've got a friend/ If the sky above you/Grows dark and full of clouds/And that old north wind begins to blow/Keep your head together/And call my name out loud/Soon you'll hear me knocking at your door/ You just call out my name/And you know wherever I am/I'll come running to see you again/Winter, spring, summer or fall/All you have to do is call/And I'll be there/ Ain't it good to know that you've got a friend/When people can be so cold/They'll hurt you, and desert you/And take your soul if you let them/Oh, but don't you let them/ You just call out my name/And you know wherever I am/I'll come running to see you again/Winter, spring, summer or fall/ All you have to do is call/And I'll be there/You've got a friend/

-Álbum: Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon (1971)

James Taylor / You´ve got a friend

(al piano: Carole King)

When you're down and troubled /and you need a helping hand /and nothing, whoa nothing is going right. /Close your eyes and think of me /and soon I will be there /to brighten up even your darkest night. /  You just call out my name,/and you know wherever I am /I'll come running, oh yeah baby  to see you again. /Winter, spring, summer, or fall, /all you have to do is call /and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah. /You've got a friend. /  If the sky above you /should turn dark and full of clouds /and that old north wind should begin to blow /Keep your head together and call my name out loud  /and soon I will be knocking upon your door. / You just call out my name and you know wherever I am /I'll come running to see you again. /Winter, spring, summer or fall /all you got to do is call /and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah. / Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend? /People can be so cold. /They'll hurt you and desert you. /Well they'll take your soul if you let them. /Oh yeah, but don't you let them. /  You just call out my name and you know wherever I am /I'll come running to see you again. /Oh babe, don't you know that, /Winter spring summer or fall, /Hey now, all you've got to do is call. /Lord, I'll be there, yes I will. /You've got a friend. /You've got a friend. /Ain't it good to know you've got a friend. /Ain't it good to know you've got a friend. /You've got a friend./

de NEIL YOUNG

Álbum: Harvest (1972)

   Heart of Gold

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm growing old.
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.

de FLEETWOOD MAC

Mick Fleetwood
John McVie
Para contar la historia de Fleetwood Mac sería más fácil realizar un árbol genealógico.
De los miembros originales, los únicos que han permanecido siempre al frente de la banda han sido: el carismático baterista Mick Fleetwood y el bajista John McVie.

Álbum: The Pious Bird of Good Omen (1969)
(Albatross, compositor: Peter Green)

Albatross

Álbum: Rumours (1976)
(Never going back again, compositor: Lindsey Buckingham)

She broke down and let me in
Made me see where I've been

Been down one time
Been down two times
I'm  never going back again

You don't know what it means to win
So come down and see me again

Been down one time
Been down two times
I'm  never going back again

Never going back again

Me gustan todas.

Sirgatopardo dijo...

Aunque Dylan is Dylan.

marian dijo...

Y Richards es Richards...
(Así lo recordamos también, pero no cantando:)

Juan Nadie dijo...

marian dijo...

Buena explicación:)

marian dijo...

Yo me "pasé" de veces cantando: "You´ve got a friend".
