RECORDANDO CANCIONES (II)

Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham

BUCKINGHAM NICKS
1973 crystal

Do you always trust your first initial feeling?
Special knowledge holds truth, bears believing
I turned around and the water was closing all around like a glove
Like the love that finally, finally found me

Then I knew in the crystalline knowledge of you
Drove me through the mountains
Through the crystal-like and clear water fountain
Drove me like a magnet to the sea
To the sea, to the sea, yeah

How the faces of love have changed turning the pages
And I have changed, oh, but you, you remain ageless
I turned around and the water was closing all around like a glove
Like the love that finally, finally found me

Then I knew in the crystalline knowledge of you
Drove me through the mountains
Through the crystal-like and clear water fountain
Drove me like a magnet to the sea
To the sea, to the sea, yeah, to the sea, yeah

MURRAY HEAD

Say it ain´t so, Joe

Say it ain't so, Joe please, say it ain't so

That's not what I wanna hear Joe
Ain't I got a right to know
Say it ain't so, Joe please, say it ain't so
I'm sure they telling us lies Joe,
Please tell us it ain't so.
They told us our hero has played his trump card
He doesn't know how to go on.
We're clinging to his charm and determined smile,
But the good old days have gone.
The image and the empire may be failing apart
The money has gotten scarce
One man's word held the country together,
But the truth is getting fierce

Say it ain't so, Joe please, say it ain't so
We pinned our hope on you Joe
And they're ruining our show
Don't you think we're gonna get burned
Don't you think we're gonna get burned
We're gonna get turned
We're gonna get learned
Cause we're gonna get turned
We're gonna get burned
We're gonna get learned
Yes, we're gonna get burned
We're gonna get turned
We're gonna get learned
Yes, we're gonna get turned
We're gonna get learned
Say it ain't so, Joe please, say it ain't so
That's not what I wanna hear Joe
Ain't I got a right to know
Say it ain't so, Joe please, say it ain't so
I'm sure they telling us lies Joe,
Please tell us it ain't so.

They told us our hero has played his trump card
He doesn't know how to go on.
We're clinging to his charm and determined smile,
But the good old days have gone.

Say it ain't so, Joe please, say it ain't so
I'm sure they telling us lies Joe,
Please tell us it ain't so.

Parisienne Walkways

I remember Paris in '49.
The Champs Elysee, Saint Michel,
and old Beaujolais wine.
And I recall that you were mine
in those Parisienne days.

Looking back at the photographs.
Those summer days spent outside corner cafes.
Oh, I could write you paragraphs,
about my old Parisienne days.

EXTREME

More Than Words

Gary Cherone y Nuno Bettencourt (Guitarra acústica)

Sayin' I love you
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say it, but if you only knew
How easy it would be to show me how you feel
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cause I'd already know
What would you do if my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel

That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away?
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying I love you

More than words

Now that I've tried to talk to you and make you understand
All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands and touch me
Hold me close don't ever let me go
More than words is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cause I'd already know

What would you do if my heart was torn in two?
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away?
Then you couldn't make things new
Just by saying I love you

More than words

SIMPLE MINDS

Don´t you (forget about me)

Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby

Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on

Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby

Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me

Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down

Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down

Don't you try to pretend
It's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security

Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll put us back together at heart, baby

Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me

As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
When you walk away

Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name
Will you call my name?

DAVID BOWIE

This is not America

A little piece of you,
The little piece in me,
Will die
For this is not America
(this is not a miracle)

Blossom fails to bloom this season,
Promise not to stare,
Too long
(this is not America)
For this is not the miracle

There was a time,
A storm that blew, so pure
For this could be the biggest sky
And I could have the faintest idea

For this is not America

This is not America (No)
This is not

Snowman melting from the inside
Falcon spirals to,
The ground
(this could be the biggest sky)
So bloody red, tomorrow's clouds

A little piece of you,
The little piece in me
Will die
(this could be a miracle)
For this is not America

There was a time,
A wind that blew, so young
For this could be the biggest sky
And I could have the faintest idea

For this is not America

DAVID  BOWIE / PAT METHENY / LYLE MAYS

Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
To the song they're playing on the radio
Let's sway
While color lights up your face
Let's sway
Sway through the crowd to an empty space

If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let's dance

For fear your grace should fall
Let's dance
For fear tonight is all

Let's sway you could look into my eyes
Let's sway
Under the moonlight this serious moonlight

And if you say run, I'll run with you
And if you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let's dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
Let's dance
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
Let's sway
You could look into my eyes
Let's sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight

If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let's dance

Se llamaba 'The Breakfast Club'.

Buen recordatorio.

La película es "El juego del halcón" (The falcon and the snowman), no recuerdo haberla visto.

A mí me gusta todas, Charlie, pero mías, mías, mías, son: Say it ain't so y Don´t you.

Simple Minds viene este año a Argentina. Siempre quise verlos en vivo. Allí estaré.

marian dijo...

A ello voy, canción tras canción. Me temo que con alguna me emocionaré.
Casi todas esconden recuerdos, etapas y hasta secretos.

Buen día, chicos! ;)

Ning Jie dijo...

Apunte 2: Me encanta Murray. Ampliamente y en todos los sentidos.

Ning Jie dijo...

Apunte 3: More than words. Buf.

Ning Jie dijo...

Apunte 4: Simple Minds. Juventud. Oh, mi juventud!

marian dijo...

¿Secretos? Muy sugerente.
